Cranberry Tequila Mule

I first learned this cocktail during a Zoom cocktail making class one of my partners organized to keep us connected during COVID. I thought the idea of using a tea bag to infuse the tequila was so clever — and it really works. The result is a refreshing, slightly fruity twist on a classic mule that's easy to make and even easier to enjoy.

Ingredients

  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup
  • 1½ oz blanco tequila
  • 1 apple cranberry tea bag
  • Ginger beer, to finish

Instructions

Place the tea bag in a glass or shaker. Pour the tequila over it and let it steep for about 1 minute to infuse.

Add the lime juice and agave syrup.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake well.

Fill a glass with ice and strain the mixture into the glass.

Top with about 2 oz of ginger beer (or to taste).
