Miso-Sesame Vinaigrette

This flavorful dressing combines tangy vinegar, savory miso, fresh ginger, and toasted sesame oil. Serve it over crisp greens and your favorite protein for an easy, satisfying salad.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons red or white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon light miso paste
  • 1 small shallot, roughly chopped
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup grapeseed oil
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons toasted white or black sesame seeds

Instructions

Add the balsamic vinegar, wine vinegar, miso paste, shallot, ginger, and brown sugar to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.

With the blender running on low, slowly drizzle in the grapeseed oil, followed by the sesame oil. Continue blending until the dressing is smooth and emulsified.

Stir in the toasted sesame seeds or toss them on dressed salad later.

Toss the dressing with your favorite lettuce or mixed greens. Add sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, grated carrots, cilantro, or fried shallots, then top with salmon, chicken, or another protein of your choice.

Store leftover dressing in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake or whisk well before serving.
